Sometimes it takes a while to find the right driver’s Jeep. After all, just about even classic CJ out there has been modified to be more of an individual machine, and many people focus their investments on the off-road components. But this 1983 Jeep CJ7 strikes an ideal balance. There was a comprehensive restoration only 6k miles ago. It has desirable 4×4 features like an enhanced stance, Renegade fender flares, and a full-size spare on an upgraded swing-away mount. But there’s much more going on here. The paint is a special color borrowed from a late-model Honda, and the moment you tell people that, everyone is going to know this one is a bit different. It has nice additions like fuel injection, a modern stereo, and air conditioning (oh yes, you found an A/C Jeep!) Nothing takes away from the capability you love in a robust CJ, but it also has the solid feeling of a well-built classic that is happy on the city streets.
